I got back to my camp late last night.
There wasn’t a cloud in the sky. The view of the stars took my breath away.
I could see thousands. I could see the Milky Way. It was both sublime, but also made me feel so small.
Later in the night, I was awakened by the sound of foxes barking in the distance.
Like a calm day out in the open sea, horizon in all directions, sometimes, I find my own finitude reassuring.
