I first began this series of landscapes on winter nights in December 2010, or least there about.
Early in the process of discovering these photographs, I spent one night photographing at Stewart Park in Ithaca, just off Cayuga Lake. It was a tough night – very cold, and the snow was falling hard. I spent about an hour and a half photographing the park, but just made a few different photographs.
It was an amazing night, and the park was very still (though I did witness one drug deal in the parking lot). The air was thick with snow, which held all the lights of the city over the park. This is really the only picture from that night I still find interesting (despite that this file was made one super scratched up scanner bed).
