My dad died this past August. Over Christmas, I went back to Denver to visit my mom and brothers. One afternoon, my brothers and I went to my dad’s house, greeted his widow, then spent the next hour and a half selecting the objects we wanted for remembrance. Among the the things I got included this photograph I made:
This picture was made in my dad’s study. He was a French Historian, and was particularly interested in military history.
I also got three bottles of wines, a framed color snap shoot of two Siamese cats, and a lithograph made from an Albrect Durer print.
I had these all shipped to me. The glass in the frame cracked. It’s hanging on the wall now, still with the broken glass.
